With sentiment analysis algorithms we create computational models of human opinion. The aim of the project is the analysis of sentiments expressed in news, blogs, views and comments. We work on large vocabulary automatic speech recognition in broadcast news. We seek a scientist to improve our speech recognition engine: to configure it for new languages, acoustic environments and domains. We believe she must have hands-on experience with speech processing systems and a good background in statistical modeling, signal processing, and speech analysis. Qualia is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student to work as an intern for a period of 3 to 6 months. You can also work with us during your master thesis. We are interested in analysis of media impact and media audiences, usage of media to find leading indicators and trends, or you can suggest applications in the broader media research domain.
