PRAXE: a grant for technological innovation and research

Theme: Qualia has received a grant from the Ministry of Development, under the Priority Action Line 4 of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness: “Technological Innovation and Research” and Measure 4.1: “Support for research units regarding the standardisation and commercial exploitation of research results. Locating and exploiting research results with the creation of new knowledge-intensive businesses (spin-offs).” The grant (PRAXE Phase II) covered new business and the expected outcome was the support of innovative SMEs for the exploitation of research results. The project ended on 31/12/2009. 

The main objective of the Programme was the utilization of new scientific and technological knowledge by knowledge-intensive enterprises. Spin-off companies like Qualia were encouraged to continue research and technological development as well as to develop new entrepreneurial activities. Furthermore, co-operation with public Research Centers and Universities was supported.
